BabyScanStudio Ashford Ltd. is committed to ensure that your scan is being carried out safely.
A fully qualified registered Sonographer with extensive Obstetric experience will carry out your 2D, 3D and 4D scans.
Should your baby be in a poor position to obtain clear 4D images the Sonographer will first try a few techniques to obtain the best image. If these are unsuccessful you may be asked to walk around in an effort to encourage your baby to move. We may try to re-scan you several times during the remaining clinic opening hours. If there isn’t spare time in the clinic schedule or if the clinic is closing we will ask you to re-book for another day. You will not be charged for additional scanning time on your second visit.
Our baby scans are non-diagnostic and not performed as a check for foetal abnormalities. If however, any abnormality is detected by the Sonographer, she will explain their findings as fully as possible to you. And with your consent the Sonographer will speak directly with your GP or maternity unit and a report will be sent to your health professionals.
A) The best time for a 4D scan is between 24 and 32 weeks of pregnancy (24 – 28 weeks for twins). Before 22 weeks your baby will look quite skeletal and frightening. After 34 weeks there is often not enough amniotic fluid around your baby for us to be able to produce a clear 3D image. The optimum time is at 26 weeks
Yes. Sharing the 4D Scan experience is one of the most wonderful moments of your pregnancy, so we have seating for 3 extra family or friends in our scanning suite. We would ask that small children and babies be accompanied by at least one adult otherwise you may lose valuable scanning time, a play area is provided whilst you wait.

During your appointment you will be made to feel relaxed and comfortable.

We ask for a £10 deposit to secure your appointment. You may pay a deposit in cash by visiting our clinic.
We ask you to pay for your scan at the end of your appointment by cash, credit or debit card. We don’t accept cheques.
No, the scans BabyScanStudio Ashford Ltd. perform are non-diagnostic scan, with the sole purpose of allowing you time to bond with your baby.
