Your Visit To Baby Scan Studio
We’re so excited to welcome you! This page is here to walk you through everything you need to know before, during, and after your scan. Whether you’re coming in for an early dating scan, a 4D/5D bonding session, a gender reveal, or just a little extra reassurance, we’re here to make your visit as smooth, special, and memorable as possible.
Preparing for Your Ultrasound Scan
You don’t need to do any special preparation for your scan, but it can sometimes be useful to have your pregnancy notes with you.
If you have them so please bring them along as our sonographer might like to see them.
Please note that early scan and early dating scan packages require a full bladder (but not so full that you need to go!), as we get a much clearer image.
Please give us a call beforehand if we need to make any preparations for your needs, for example, if you are visually impaired, have limited mobility or language issues, etc.

Upon Arrival
Once you’ve arrived, you’ll be requested to complete and sign our consent form, which is a legal requirement in the U,K so we can proceed with your scan.
This also enables us to cross-check the details we hold on you and ensure they are correct and that you understand our terms and conditions.
Preparing for Your Ultrasound Scan
All our scanning packages start off with a well-being check and ask you if you would like optional gender confirmation in a traditional 2D black and white scan.
We’ll then switch the ultrasound scanner into 4D mode, showing your baby in incredible detail. You’ll be able to watch your baby rub their eyes, suck their thumb or rub their eyes whilst writing around in the womb.
All their tiny toes and fingers will be visible, and some parents can even spot whose nose their baby has!
With a 4D scan, you’ll have plenty of time to bond with your baby as you watch their behaviour and hopefully put on a little show for you!
It’s important to remember that not all babies are active during the scan; some babies can be a little camera shy, so we will do our best to get your baby a little bit active.
If your baby is not being cooperative, then we’ll invite you back again on another day**.
After Your Scan
With our 4D Video package, you are able to take every minute of this footage home with you to share with your friends and family. You’ll love seeing the look of joy on their faces, just like we love seeing it on yours!

** Please note that a rescan will only be possible during certain times of pregnancy and will be subject to availability.
The bigger the baby gets, the less likely it is to move, and therefore, better images may not be possible.

Appointment Changes
Please call to inform us asap and before your appointment if it needs to be changed due to illness or infection.
Your appointment will be rescheduled to a convenient time, and your payment will not be lost.
